AGED WOMAN DIES AT THE HOME OF HER SON

Death came to Matilda Dennis, widow of the late Samuel Dennis, at the home of her son in Blanchard township, Monday morning, at about 1:30 o'clock. She had been ill for many weeks and her death was not unexpected. She was eighty-five years of age.

She was born March 6, 1826, and had been a resident of this county for the past sixty years. Her husband preceded her in death, dying about nine years ago.

She is survived by seven children, George W., of Wisconsin; A.J. of Deshler; John, of Hoytville; William of Wood county; Charles of Blanchard township, at whose home she died; Samuel T., of Toledo, and Mrs. Mary E. Barnhill, of Ithaca, Michigan.

The funeral was held at the home of her son, Thomas, the Rev. M.J. Maxwell, pastor of the McComb Church of Christ officiated. Interment was made in the Benton Ridge Cemetery.
