Linda Lee Channel of Alliance, died Monday, September 25, 2000, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2000, at the First Plymouth Church, 20th and D Street, Lincoln, Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff.

A memorial has been established to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

She was born in Superior, Neb., to Ralph and Emma (Petersen) Salyard. She lived in Hardy, Neb., where she was a graduate of Hardy High School.

She was employed by Morris and Durik in Hastings, while she was living in Glenvil.

She married Tom Bucknell in 1956, and to this union three children were born.

In 1981, she married Al Channel and they made their home in Alliance.

She was involved in Epilepsy and Lupus organizations and loved playing the piano, singing in church, animals, gardening and being outdoors.

Her new found interest was the computer which helped her to communicate with family and friends.

She also enjoyed spending time with her children.

She is survived by her husband, Al Channel of Alliance; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Debe Bucknell of Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Phil Pfeiffer of Lincoln; son, Ty Bucknell of Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Rollo Gass of Edgar; niece, Trish (Gass) Shepard, Delizza and her husband, Philip, of Omaha; nephew, Michael Gass and his wife Diana of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Logan, Cody and Tanner Pfeiffer of Lincoln, Ryan Bucknell of Lincoln, and Troy Watkins of Ft. Scott, Kan. and great-grandson, Xavior Watkins of Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Salyard.
