On September 25, 1918, he was inducted in the US Army {Serial Number 4,857,318 -- 61 Dep Brig}, and he was enlisted at the time of his death. He was a soldier in the Regimental Combat Team (RCT). He died of pneumonia at the military hospital in Camp Bowie, Texas.
The records from the military base hospital was reflected as the informant on the death certificate. Further, upon his death, his remains were released to his father.
A.C. MAHONE was laid to rest on October 15, 1918 on the grounds of McJohnsons Cemetery in Harrison County, Texas.
The funeral directors with Fort Worth Undertaking Company of Tarrant County, Texas managed the burial arrangements.
