WORLD WAR II, KOREA
Samuel Howard Wilkerson passed March 20, 2007. Born Oct. 14, 1920 in Durham, son of Samuel and Luna McKee Wilkerson. He is survived by his wife, Edith Eason Wilkerson; three children, Thomas and Michael Wilkerson and Gail Burrwell; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mabel Waddell and Robert Wilkerson.
He served proudly in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring as a CPO to Alexandria, Va., where he founded Parkway Realty Inc. After 15 years of success, he retired again, moving to Florida in 1975. There he spent many years traveling and tending his garden. He was an avid photographer much of his life. He enjoyed collecting and framing American art and engravings. We will miss him.
