Sickman-Dunning was in charge of arrangements and burial was in Maplewood Cemetery. Grace Lorene Shorthose was born September 29, 1907 at Brownington Mo. and passed away December 15, 1978 at Kilgore, Texas. She was an only child of Robert James and Mamie Ellen White Shorthose. She was married to George Thomas Brown Sr., on September 6, 1933 at Brownington, Missouri. They had two children, George Thomas Jr. and Betty. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on February 17, 1956. She is survived by one son George Thomas Jr. and wife Vera; one daughter, Betty Doll, and husband, Maurice; two grandchildren, Jane Kay Doll and Steven Lyle Doll, whom she loved dearly. She professed her faith in Christ in her youth 39 and was an active church member as long as her health permitted. She was a good neighbor and will be missed by those who knew her through her many kind deeds to others.
