Surrounded by his family, Roy Elliot Callaway, Sr., age 74, of Minden, WV passed away on Saturday , October 1, 2016 at his home.

Born July 19, 1942 in Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Perry and Maybird Ellis Callaway..

Roy was a heavy equipment operator and loved woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Evans Callaway; and brothers Lincoln Callaway, Everett Callaway, Elba Callaway, George Callaway, Mack Callaway, Butch Callaway, Browning Callaway, and Ralph Callaway.

Left to mourn his passing is his daughters: Sharlene Carriger and husband, Sanford of Mossy, Marlene Miller and husband, David of Minden; a son: Roy Callaway, Jr. of Minden; sister Dora Lou Fields; and grandchildren Dustin Arthur, Jonathon Miller, Amy McCune, Emily Miller, and Roy Callaway, III.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
