Alberta was born January 11, 1937 in Cumberland County to Ola and Aslee (Lake) Ray. Alberta married Richard Lee Shoot on March 4, 1954.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years; daughter, Sheila (Ken) Williams of Monticello; son, Jeff (Debbie) Shoot of Greenup; and daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Light of Toledo; brother, Leon (Marilyn) Ray of Toledo; grandchildren, Heather (Blaine) Kurth, Brad (Kristie) Swim, Tony (Andrea) Lindsay, Jennifer (Nathan) Estes, Jeremy Shoot, Melissa (Chris) Archer, Megan (Mark) Brassard, Marcie (Bart) Holsapple; great-grandchildren, Maya and Rylee Kurth, Noble, Silas and Josey Swim, Hailey, Kendall and Cameron Lindsay, Gabby Estes, Gage and Griffin Shoot, Jaykob and Julia Archer, Jaydelin and Tinley Brassard, Brylee and Blaedyn Holsapple.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one great-granddaughter.
Alberta worked at Quinn Broom Works for many years. She was a member of the Toledo Christian Church and was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Toledo Christian Church.
The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cumberland Rehab Auxiliary.
