Robert F. Anderson, age 74, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was born November 21, 1941, a son of the late Dr. Robert L. and Edith Florence Anderson. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and was chairperson of the Methodist Men. He was a member of the Licking Valley Singers and the Promise Keepers. He was an honorably discharged Marine Corp veteran.

He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Misty Dawn Anderson; and a sister, Lou Johnson. Survivors include: his wife, Phyllis Y. Anderson; a daughter, Marcie (Scott) Clarey, of Mason County; a stepson, Patrick (Angie) Jennings, of Fort Mitchell; a stepdaughter, Deandra (Kyle) Gatlin, of Alabama; a brother, William (Bibby) Anderson, of Winchester; two sisters, Dean Brothers, of Lexington, and Lee Withers Bowling, of London, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Nicholas Clarey and Jacob Clarey; three step-grandchildren, Sterling Gatling, Jordan Gatlin and Alexa Jennings; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Kyle Gatlin. Burial will follow the service at Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: First United Methodist Church, P.O.
