BURIED at Harkey's Chapel, Wattsville, St. Claire County, Alabama

There has been speculations previously about Gray Barber's burial location. Because of this, Curtis Barber wrote below about his findings, proof that the previous headstone photo taken at Broken Arrow Cemetery was a 'Henry' Barber, not Gray Barber. Therefore the photo of Henry Barber's headstone has thus been removed from this memorial.
The current photos are from the Pell County Library which indicate Gray's burial location as Harkeys Chapel Cemetery and buried in an unmarked grave.

"I'm writing in reference to the entry for Gray Barber (memorial #17055283) who is supposedly buried in the Broken Arrow Cemetery in St. Clair County. The marker shown in the two photos added by other contributors is not Gray Barber - I've seen it in person, and it clearly has "Henry Barber," not Gray, inscribed on it. If Gray is indeed buried at Broken Arrow, his gravesite is unmarked, as I could not locate any marker with his name. At least one other source in addition to Find A Grave identified Broken Arrow as his burial site, but another I found stated that he and his wife Charlotte were buried near the creek where he had built a gristmill and that over the years, the gravesites had been obliterated by the creek's flooding. Being unable to find a definite gravesite for Gray Barber has been quite frustrating for my family, as he was our first Barber ancestor to come to Alabama, and it was with great anticipation that I visited Broken Arrow when I was in the area, only to be disappointed to see that the marker was for undoubtedly another relative, but not for Gray.
