Jervis Odell (Dell) Thomas died October 23, 1984 at Parkview Hospital, Nashville, TN. A resident of Smyrna,TN, a farmer and native of Rutherford County. Preceeded in death by parents, Jervis R. and Alice Mason Thomas, wife, Mary Ethel Tucker Thomas, son, Marvin Thomas.

Survived by daughters, Mary Esther (Ollie Lee) Owens, College Grove, TN; Linda Eatherly, Macon, GA; sons, Grady Thomas,Nashville, Cecil (Margaret) Thomas,Nashville; Paul Thomas,College Grove; Jimmy Thomas, Lavergne; sister, Eunice Webb, Franklin, TN, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


Remains are at Walter King Hoover Funeral Home where services will be Thursday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Eatherly officiating. Burial followed in Mapleview Cemetery, Smyrna,TN. Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
