Mr. Wallace, who was aged 85, was general agent in charge of the Broad Street Station, Philadelphia, until he retired on age.

Funeral services will be held from his home in Philadelphia. His body will be brought to Harrisburg and buried in the Harrisburg Cemetery.

In the years between 1859 and 1861, he was chief clerk to his brother,
Thomas L. Wallace, who was freight agent for Pennsylvania Railroad in Harrisburg.
At that time there were but two men in the entire freight office, in strong contrast to
the efficient present-day clerical force.

Mr. Wallace is survived by his brother, Thomas L. Wallace, 214 Pine St., and by
Mrs. Samuel J. M. McCarrell, wife of Judge McCarrell.

He was the son of Robert and Jane Hempfield Wallace.

He came to Harrisburg as an assistant to his brother and in 1866 was made ticket agent in Philadelphia.
