Marcus Waldo Mason age 86, went to be with the Lord on Saturday September 17, 2016. He was born in Quitman, Mississippi on July 24, 1930 to Virginia Boykin Mason and Waldo Marcus Mason.

He was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War and was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and remodeling his home, but most of all, spending time with his family and friends. All of his life he was a very caring and loving person, always honest, forgiving and faithful and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Opal Lucas.

Marcus is survived by his beloved wife, Maurine Mason; his children, Shelia Gordon and Gary Mason; his sister, Mildred Price; and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Wednesday evening September 21, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. followed by interment in Sterling-White Cemetery.
