Arlin was born and raised as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Gladys reared their children in the same faith. At the time of his passing, Arlin's posterity included six children, five step-children, their spouses and nearly 300 grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren. He was a loving influence to each and hundreds of others whose path he crossed.
Though a naturalized and loyal citizen of the United States, the prairies of southern Alberta, Canada held an important and tender place in his heart.
Dad spent his life in the service of family, friends, and church. He served an LDS mission to The Netherlands; a country and people he loved throughout his life. He served in a variety of callings in the wards and stakes in which he lived. Professionally he spent his 60+ year career as a certified public accountant, working until his 86th year.
Dad loved water skiing; an activity he enjoyed until his 79th year. He also loved dancing, especially his dance with Marge on her 90th birthday. He also loved taking his family camping and taking road trips in his custom-van.
Surviving are his devoted and faithful wife Marge, children: Randa (John) Bruce, Lee (Cindy) Glines, Layne (Margaret) Glines, Anita (Jamie) Gornik, and Janice (Jim) d'Hulst, LaNette (Dee) Andersen, LeAnn (Richard) Orton, Bambi (Tim) Gardner, Blair (Cynthia) Thompson, Brian (JoLene) Thompson; siblings Rex Glines, Joyce (Mike) Cole, Sharon (Bryan) Tillack, Rea Skelton Glines. Preceding him in death was his wife Gladys, son Rolan, his parents, Laraine Leatham (sister) and Reece Glines (brother).
The family expresses special thanks to the caring staffs of Intermountain Medical Center and Pioneer Care and Rehabilitation Center for their loving service to our Dad.
