In his youth, Rolan spent many summers working on his grandfather's farm in Alberta, Canada. This gave him a life-long appreciation of the value of hard work as well as good work. As an electrician and HVAC man, he was often complimented on the quality of his efforts.
Rolan had a heart of gold, and made himself available to others. He would often help others at his own expense. He loved the outdoors, especially water skiing and jet skiing. He enjoyed four wheeling and helping his nieces and nephews enjoy these things, too.
At the time of his passing, Rolan was survived by four sons, his father and step-mother (Arlin and Marjorie), and five siblings. He was preceded in death by his mother, who most certainly greeted him with an incredible hug.
