PRICE, S. Vernon "Fuzzy" Jr., 87, of Midlothian, passed away February 20, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Clarice Ryland Price. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy "Dot" Hawkins; his children, Wyndham Ryland Price, Anne Price Mitchell and Stuart Vaden Price (Melissa); grandchildren, Patrick Ryland Mitchell, Courtney Chance Mitchell; and his best friend, Helen Johnson of Midlothian. We would like to thank Iris of Brightstar and Elizabeth of Community Hospice for their care and devotion. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and Korea and attended Randolph Macon College. After working in sales at Noland Co. and Richmond Plumbing & Heating, he enjoyed boating and fishing. When his granddaughter challenged him to get a tattoo, he surprised us all by having his Kappa Alpha fraternity symbol tattooed on his ankle at age 80. For the last 35-plus years, his constant refrain was that "I'm not long for this world." Glad he got to enjoy a nice retirement. A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 23, at Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church.
