Agnes Hart married Dominic Loughran in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Armagh, Ireland. The couple lived and raised their children in Glasgow, Scotland. After Agnes died, the widowed Dominic sailed with the four sons to the United States.

After some years the eldest son Dominic returned to Ireland where he died. When Henry 'Harry' passed away in New York, his brother Joseph Dominic and Joseph's wife Nora buried Henry in Nora's grave. John 'Jack' worked on boats and died at sea in the waterways off NYC. It is believed the father, Dominic, died in New York City but the family was unable to confirm his passing even though the family searched for him.

In later years, Agnes' youngest son, Joseph Dominic Loughran, visited Ireland and Scotland with Joseph's son, Joseph Patrick (Sr.), and Joseph Dominic erected a monument to the memory of his mother and to her son Henry at the burial site in Port Glasgow.
