DOROTHY C. PFEIFER, 98, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Lutheran Home. Born Feb. 12, 1908, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a Secretary at Material Handling Equipment for 15 years, retiring in 1985. Surviving are her son, R. Steven (Marcia) Pfeifer of Aiken, S.C.; grandson, Kurt (Lori) Pfeifer of Fairfax, Va.; granddaughter, Kara (Robert) Pomeday of Racine, Wis.; great-grandsons, Colton and Andrew Pfeifer; and sister, Evelyn Gehring of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Pfeifer, in 1993. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Preferred memorials to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
