Jeffrey A. Flint was born and raised in Arcadia, California, a son of Richard and Phyllis Flint. After two years of study at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he sang in a Russian choir, he traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mr. Flint, 30, died of a heart attack Sunday, March 30, 2003 in his Hoffman Estates home. He and Inga Valeriyevna Gorshkova had been married June 28, 1997 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

As a missionary, consular assistant in Russia or in his most recent position as director of operations for a competitive intelligence firm, Jeff poured boundless energy into everything he did, said colleagues and family. He was thrilled to get called to Russia. After his mission, he returned to BYU for school and then put his education on hold as he was recruted by United Way International to develop service programs in Naryan-Mar, Russia.

After getting a bachelors degree at BYU in 1996, he returned to Russia where he met his wife Inga. After working as a consular assistant in the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg, he returned to the US and obtained his master's degree. He was working for Proactive Worldwide, Inc when he passed away.

He is survived by his parents, his wife Inga and three children, Illona, Alina, and Richard.

Grandparents are Allen Hatch Flint (1911-1998) and Esstel Evelyn (Turpin) Flint (1911-1986)
