"La Fleur, Louis Henry, of John La Fleur and his wife Catharine Baur, born Oct. 10, 1785, baptised October 25, in his father's house in the town of Maidencreek, sponsors Louis Henry Flower and his wife Rose". Entry for Henry's baptism taken from the Goshenhoppen Registers 1741-1819. Goshenhoppen was a Roman Catholic mission & chapel. Was later called St Paul's Chapel & today known as The Most Blessed Sacrament, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA.

Son of John LeFleur/Flower & Catharine Baur, who lived first in Maidencreek Twp, Berks County & then Warwick Twp, Lancaster County. Married Catharine Davis about 1810 & had the following children: John, Henry, Jacob, Thomas, Christian, Mary Ann, Catharine, Fanny, Henrietta & three more children who died in infancy. Lived first in Warwick & Rapho Twps (respectively), Lancaster County & then in Londonderry Twp (within the southern part of what is today South Londonderry Twp), Lebanon County. The 1840 census for Londonderry puts his age between 50-60 & I believe his age to have been 54 yrs. Cannot find him in 1850, but he should be in the same place, will of 1852 (probated 1856), in which he states he was living in Londonderry, Lebanon County.

Henry had at least three of his children baptized at St Mary's Catholic Church, Lancaster, from 1812-1817.

From http://maley.net/transcription/Sketches2/flowers_thomas.htm -

"Henry Thomas was born in Berks county, Pa., and was a farmer. His wife was Catherine Davis, and was born in Lancaster County, Pa. They had twelve children, six of whom are living: John; Henry; Catherine, wife of Jacob Lehman; Jacob, Thomas, and Christian. Their deceased children are: Marian, died aged seventy-six; Fannie, deceased, was the wife of Daniel Messerman; Henrietta; and three who died in infancy. Mr. Henry Flowers died in July, 1856, aged seventy-five years; his wife died in 1847, at the age of fifty-five. They were members of the Catholic church. Both died in Lebanon County."

I come from Mary Ann (Marian in the bio above), Henry's daughter, confirmed in his will & she died in 1883 at 70 yrs old, not 76. So Henry's age may be wrong as well. She married Samuel Irely & is buried in Middletown, Dauphin County. As for Henry, the name "Henry Thomas" is wrong. His birth name was Louis Henry & he went by Henry. The biography above should be used as a guide, not fact, although most of it is accurate.Had a daughter (among other children) Mary Ann in 1812, who married Henry First & Samuel Irely & who is buried in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Dauphin County PA.
