Funeral services for Mary Lois Pittman McGahey, age 94, of Lindale, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Marion Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mrs. McGahey died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at a Tyler hospital. She was born in Lindale, Texas on October 8, 1921 to the late Claude and Lois (Bartley) Pittman. Mrs. McGahey lived most of her life in the Lindale area. She was a member of the Swan-Wood Springs Methodist Church. Mrs. McGahey formerly owned and operated a Lindale floral shop and was co-owner of Jimmie’s Texaco Station for over 40 years with her husband, Jimmie Lee McGahey, who died in 1995. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laritha McGahey Farek in 2015; sister, Del Aaron; 4 brothers, Raymond, Troy, Henry, and Hubert Pittman. Mrs. McGahey is survived by her 2 daughters & a son-in-law, Wilma Kennedy of Lindale, Texas and Cathy & Doug Bryan of Bryan, Texas; sons & daughters-in-law, Billy Wayne & Sharon McGahey of Eustace and Jimmie Earl & Sherlda McGahey of Lindale, Texas; brother, Jerry Pittman of Chandler, Texas; sisters, Claudine Morrison and Patsy Maxwell, both of California; and by 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons. The McGahey family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
