Funeral Services Held Wednesday In LDS Tabernacle
James C Cunningham, 83, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at his home, 223 North Almo Avenue, of ailments incident to old age.
Mr Cunningham was born Oct. 23, 1856, in Borland, Scotland, and came to Cassia county in 1918. He engaged in farming until a few years ago when he retired and moved to Burley.
In addition to his wife, he leaves five sons, J.[James] H. Cunningham, Pocatello; Joshua, Delos and Elmer Cunningham, Burley, and Joseph Cunningham, Los Angeles, and two daughters, Mrs. Ray Marks, Spokane, and Mrs. Roy Hoagland, Los Angeles.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the LDS tabernacle with Bishop John Holyoak officiating. Opening prayer was given by Mr. Black and speakers were J D Hoggan an G. E. Ferrin. Closing prayer was given by Eugene Budge and the graveside prayer by Verne McCulloch.
Pall bearers included Robert Comer, Ross Cunningham, Don Cunningham, Merlin Cunningham, Jay Cunningham and Earl W. Larson. Flowers were in charge of the Second ward Relief Society.
Interment was in View cemetery under direction of Burley funeral home.
