Carl A. Girton, 70, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016.

He was born April 24, 1946, in Danville, son of the late Russell and Maureen Girton, and currently resided in Gulfport, Miss.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Girton; son, Phil Girton; daughter, Annette Miller and grandson, Dallas Miller; stepchildren: Diana Bogart, Denise Siegel, Charlene Sloan, Ed Williams; grandchildren: Brittany Bogart, Bobby Bogart, Cody Siegel, Annelise Murphy, Lacy Frey, Lauren Williams, and great-grandchildren: Carter, Carson and Konnor. He is also survived by niece, Nikia Still; grandnephew, Cameron Burney; and sisters: Elaine Adair, Pat Ortman and Jean Johnson.

A sister, Virginia Long, died previously.

Carl worked 25 years at the Milton Steel Mill until its closing. He then retired from Muncy Homes after 16 years.

He enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, vacationing and boating at Bob’s Lake, Ontario, Canada, and spending time with his family and friends.
