Ivory E. Workman, 60-year-old resident of Virginia (IL), died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday at Passavant hospital (Jacksonville, Morgan County, IL), where he became a patient the preceding Sunday.
Mr. Workman was born in Chandlerville Aug. 21, 1910, son of John W. and Stella Harbison Workman. He first married Edna Davis, and she preceded him in death. On Nov. 6, 1967 he married Dorothy Lane who survives.
These children survive their father: Bobby D. Workman, Edward A. Workman and Ivan Workman, all of Chandlerville; John F. Workman, Barry; Dorothy Ann Gosnell, Baylis; Joyce Michael of Virginia; Wanda Brown, Winchester; and Sandra Long of Jacksonville.
There are 24 grandchildren. A son, William, preceded his father in death.
One brother and one sister survive: Robert Workman of Arenzville and Bernice Keans, Pasadena, California.
The remains are at the Lintner-Buchanan Funeral Home, where the family will meet friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Don Ennen officiating. Interment will be in
Arenzville North Cemetery.
