Helen Lucille Robbins Rotzein
79, Brownsburg, passed away January 8, 2007. Born February 9-1927 in Syracuse, New York to Paul and Frances (Surber) Robbins. Helen graduated from Pittsboro High School Class of 1944 and attended Indiana University. She married Jack R. Rotzien February 1 1948 in Bloomington. Helen was active in the local County and Indiana State Republican Party from 1951 to 1970 when she moved with her family to New Orleans. There she became chairperson of the New Orleans Court Watch Association. Later the family lived in Dallas, Texas before returning East to spend the last 29 years in Florida. In July, Helen and her husband, Jack, of 58 years moved to Brownsburg to be near their family. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and a Customer Service Representative for Target, retiring in April 2006.
She is survived by her husband Jack R. Rotzien, daughters, Christine Messer, Andrea (Phillip) Rotzien Blanchard Ph.D; son-in-law, James Margherio, brother, Edward Robbins, five grandsons and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carolyn Sue Margherio and sister Phyllis Tofil.
Services will be held at 1 p.m Saturday, January 13 at David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro with visitation there from 12 p.m. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Furrv.
