Services for Paul W. Robbins, 82, Route 1, Pittsboro, were Saturday, March 30 (1985) in the David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro, with Rev. Kathy Kinser officiating. Burial was in the Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis.
A native of Lizton, he was born September 12, 1902 to Fred A. and Cora E. (Reynolds) Robbins. Mr. Robbins, a lifelong resident of Pittsboro and a poet, died Wednesday, March 27 in the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been a steam fitter for Baker, McHenry and Welch Co., and was a member of the Pittsboro Christian Church, the Pittsboro American Legion Post, Steam Fitters Local 440 and World War I Veterans of Brownsburg.
Survivng are wife, Frances Robbins; son, Edward Robbins, Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Helen Rotzien, Lake Worth, Florida; sister, Marnell Waggoner, Zephyrhills, Florida; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Tofil and a brother, Travis Robbins.
