Mrs. John Burg, 80, Victim of Stroke Mrs. John Burg, 80, who died Wednesday morning of this week, February 26 at her home in Monches will be buried with services at St. John's church, that village, Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Memorial Funeral Home of this city.
She had been ill of a heart attack for two weeks preceding her death.
Mary Purtell Burg was born in Monches, December 5, 1860. And was married there June 6, 1881 to John Burg. He and the following children survive: Joseph, Edmund and Mae (Mrs. M. O'Keane) Milwaukee; Nellie (Mrs. Steve Fleming, Stone Bank); Genevieve (Mrs. Joseph Fleming) Monches; Ralph and Wilfred, Slinger; Sophia, at home; Leo, West Bend.
A son, Robert, died in May 1936. Three Brothers, Dr. John Purtell, Milwaukee physician, Dr. Thomas Purtell, a dentist of that city, and Francis Purtell, Milwaukee, and four sisters, Julia Donnelly, wife of Dr. F.J. Donnelly, North Lake; Mrs. Catherine Beston, North Lake; Mrs. Margaret Ennis, Milwaukee; and Sister Regina, worker in leper colony in Louisiana, and twenty-seven grandchildren are listed among the immediate relatives.
Mrs. Burg was a lifelong resident of Monches, where her funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. William Restle. She belonged to this church for many years and was a member of the Altar Society.
