Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2006 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Grindberg officiating. Interment will be at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.
Dorothy Louise Waldron was born on August 3, 1919 in Estherville, Iowa. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1937 and from Estherville Junior College in 1939. Dorothy moved to Fort Dodge in 1944, where she was employed with Iowa Electric Supply for 50 years. On February 14, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage to Noress L. Larson in Fort Dodge. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Noress of Fort Dodge; her son, Jerrold (Alice) Jimmerson of Manson; her grandchildren, Kevin (Amy) Jimmerson of Independence, IA; Bryan (Jennifer) Jimmerson of Norfolk, NE; Deron (Ruth) Jimmerson of Waseca, MN; nine great-grandchildren; her half-sister, Darlene Dornath of Thor. She was preceded in death by her father, L.W. Waldron; step-mother, Harriet "Hattie" Waldron; her mother, Hazel Black and step-father, M. Clare Black.
Memorials will be given to the Oleson Park Zoo and the Karl King Statue Fund.
