Abraham was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in the Winfield/New Berlin area. Abraham and part of his family moved to Kansas 1885. Abraham was married twice. His first wife Sarah Wolfe died in 1876, she was the daughter of Andrew Wolfe and Anna Eve Dreisbach. Abraham married Sarah's second cousin Jane Ellen Wolfe, who moved with him to Kansas. Abraham Eyer died May 21, 1905 at home of his son George S. Eyer in Turon, Kansas. Funeral at Methodist church. He was born in Union Township, Marion County, PA.

Happily converted at a (methodist) meeting October 31, 1841.
Just before he died he repeated...
"On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand".

Abraham son's Issac and Simon were farmers that stayed in the PA area. Simon eventually moved to Delaware and died there in 1921. Miriam moved to the midwest and married Rev. Daniel Peter Kline and is buried in Nebraska. Jerome, Charles and George Smith accompanied their father and moved to the midwest and ran successful farms.
