Norman George Marquardt, 86, passed away August 31, 2016 at his home in Peshtigo. Born September 5, 1929, son of the late Henry and Gertrude (Jandrey). On August 24, 1957, he married the love of his life, former Irene Ahrens at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo and this year, celebrated 59 years of marriage. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Over the years, Norman had worked at Elm Dairy Cheese Factory, Thompson Boat, and retired from Badger Paper Mills. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, carpentry work, polka music, actively volunteering at church and attending his special grandson, Reid's (Bud) sporting events.

Survivors excluded for privacy

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Visitation continues on Tuesday, September 6, at Zion Lutheran Church from 9:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am. Pastor Luke Myslik will be officiating and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
