Elma Alva "Bally" (Drain) Johnston, of Pittsburg, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 in Tulsa at the age of 75. She was born March 19, 1931, in Haskell to Olen and Ada Drain. She was raised in Haskell and graduated from Porter High School in 1948. She married Harold Johnston in 1958. She was employed with the Tulsa Public Schools, Carbondale Drugstore of Tulsa, Star Drugstore in McAlester, and Champlain's Restaurant at Savanna. She was active in the Pittsburg Round-Up Club, Founders Day and Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Cook and wife, Janet, of Oklahoma City, John Johnston, of Pittsburg, David Johnston and wife, Jeanne, of Lawton; grandchildren, Pernell Cook and wife, Tiffany, of Tyler, Texas, Joseph Cook and wife Megan of Fort Benning, Ga., Treda Prinbow and husband, Casey of Blanchard, and Michael Bronson of Edmond; great-grandchildren, Bailey Ruiz and Billy Prinbow of Blanchard, Madison and Elijah Cook of Tyler, Texas; sisters, Pearl Gatlin, Betty Chadwick and husband, J.W., Barbara Monroe and husband, Danny, and Katie Bucher and husband, Ted, Jane Seifried; brothers, Olen Drain and wife, Jean, Lloyd Drain, Arzie Drain and wife, Pat; two brother-in-laws, Johnny Johnston and wife, Irene, and Jerry Johnston and wife, Bonnie; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends and special friend, Joe Ketcherside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Ada Drain; husband, Harold Gene Johnston in 1993; twin daughters, Pauline Jane and Eileen June; brother, Lolen Drain; and sisters, Reba Baker and Melba Sweeney. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Pittsburg Cemetery in Pittsburg with the Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be George Labor, John Labor, Hank Thomason, Pernell Cook, Michael Bronson and Jerry Don Johnston.
