Tuscumbia-The graveside service for Mrs. Mary Appleton Garrett, 84, Route 1, will be at 2 p.m. today at New Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Tom McDowell officiating and Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia directing.
She died Sunday, May 21, 1989 at her residence.
She was a native of Collinsville but lived most of her life in the Shoals area. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Ernest P. Garrett, Jr. Rogersville, William T. Garrett, Tuscumbia; brother, Howard Appleton, Atlanta; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Grandsons will be bearers.
