Virgil S. Poulsen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, 17 Oct 2002, due to cancer. He was born 27 Jan 1915 in Raymond, Idaho a son of Joseph Fredrick and Elizabeth Straubhaar Poulsen.

He grew up and attended school in Cokeville, Wyoming. He played basketball and held the high jump record in Lincoln County for ten years.

Virgil married DeEsta Teuscher on 1 Mar 1941, in Montpelier, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on 26 Nov 1952.

He was a High Priest in the LDS church. Over the years, he served in many positions including 24 years as a Ward Clerk in Cokeville and Ogden.

In his later years, he was an avid bowler where he enjoyed many friends.

He worked for Covey Bagley and Dayton Cattle Company and Les Olsen's Ranch before moving to Ogden. He retired from the Post Office after 25 years at the age of 69.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
