L. A. "Dick" Bethune, 75, funeral will be held Monday with burial in Hillcrest cemetery. He died March 13 at Clovis, New Mexico where he was spending the winter. He was injured in a car accident on March 9 at Clovis and died there from his injuries on March 13. He was born July 15, 1909 in Missouri to D. and Florence (Roller) Bethune. He was married on Jan. 16, 1931 to Josephine Willeke at Madison. She died in Feburary 1983. He was survived by 7 sons: Willie at Norfolk, Dennis at Tilden, Cliff at Carroll, Dale, Howard, Ron at Denver,Colorado; Duane at Anoka, Minnesota; 2 daughters and their husbands, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 5 brothers Earl at Norfolk, Lester at Carroll, Glen at Sheldon, Missouri; Louis at Lakeville, Iowa; Gene at Houston, Texas; Mrs. Montez Fowlkes at Omaha, Mrs. Lena Pierotti at South Gate, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother.
