Lester F. Bethune, 73, of Carroll died Aug. 25, 1987 at the Fillmore County hospital in Geneva while visiting there. He was born July 28, 1914 at Butterfield, Missouri the son of D. and Florence (Roller) Bethune. He married Clara Goodman on June 21, 1938 at Carroll. He was survived by his wife, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
