He was born in Tell City, Indiana, on February 4, 1946.
Eddie graduated from Cannelton High School in 1965, where he excelled in athletics. He married Nancy Mogan on July 2, 1966, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton.
Eddie was active in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1966-1968.
He worked for over 30 years for Can-Clay Corporation and later worked at Schwab Safe until illness forced his retirement.
A member of St. Michael Catholic Church, he enjoyed working on their family farm and spending time with his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton with burial in Lamb Cemetery in Rome. Rev. Barnabas Gillespie, OSB, will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:45 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
