Franklin News-Herald, Wed, Mar 16 1921:
Frederick L. Kahle, 59, formerly of Franklin, died at home 5513 Margaretta Street, in the East End, Pittsburgh, at 1 am today, following ill health of several months after a serious operation in Columbus, OH, according to a telegram received by Franklin friends. He was born in Kahletown, Jefferson County, April 18, 1862, son of Frederick B. and Mary Kahle.
He was admitted to Venango County bar in 1886, and lived in Franklin until 1904, when he moved to Pittsburgh. At one time he was District Attorney of Venango County, and he had many friends here who will be shocked to hear of his death.
He married Mary Galbraith, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. D. C. Galbraith, and she survives, with a daughter, Anna, at home. Clarence Kahle, a son, it will be recalled, who was a Lieutenant in the aviation service, met his death while fighting Boche planes in France. Several months ago the father came to Franklin to make arrangements in preparation for the arrival of the son's body from France.
Services for Mr. Kahle will be at his home in Pittsburgh Thursday evening. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery Friday morning.
