Barbara Elaine Elliott Knowles, passed away at her home on August 10, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Always a generous person, Elaine was a devoted caregiver to her mother's sister, Lila Loyce Reitzer Sheffield who died in 2002. After retiring with 20 years in the Civil Service, Elaine went to work in the Alamo Gift Shop which she very much enjoyed. Elaine loved working in her yard, ceramics, going to the movies, baking and doting on her cats. When she was in good health, Elaine loved to travel and often reminisced about her trip to Germany. Graveside service to be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00AM at San Fernando Cemetery NO. III.
