OBIT:

Harvey G. Eastburn, one of the Northfield's progressive farmers took his own life Sunday morning, when he shot himself through the heart with a rifle. Mr. Eastburn, was in his usual health working about his farm that morning, and was down to the village Saturday, as was his custom to come often during the week. As far as known by his family there was no reason for taking his life.

A few years ago Mr. Eastburn with his family moved to Northfield from Fremont, Iowa, and purchased the W. E. Kingston farm on West Hill. Since living here, he has made many acquaintances who held him in high esteem.

The deceased was 62 years of ago, is survived by his wife, and two sons, Lincoln Eastburn, who lives at home, and Sanford W. Eastburn of Strattford. The oldest son, Sanford, left Monday afternoon for Fremont, Iowa, where he is taking the remains of his father for burial. Funeral services will be in Fremont.
