Mrs. Schaefer was a kind and sympathetic woman with a disposition which seemed naturally drawn to those in need. Her keen interest in her friends and neighbors endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her death is a distinct loss to the community.
Funeral services were held from St. Peter's Church Monday, the pastor Rev. Father Norris officiating. Interment was in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery.
