Mabel Josephine Lieser, 91, of Gill, died Jan. 23, 2010 at her home.

She was born May 8, 1918 in Rock Rapids, Iowa to Edward and Annie (Akkermann) Boomgaarden.

On Oct. 28, 1938 she married Leland (Lee) Lieser in Walla Walla, Wash. They moved to Colorado in 1944.

She was a homemaker, a waitress, and a production worker for Hewlett Packard in Loveland. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, her family, but most of all living on the farm and watching the animals. She was a member of Buckhorn Presbyterian Church in Masonville.

She is survived by sons, Leslie Lieser and wife Marie of Greeley, Irvin Lieser and wife Eva of Ft. Collins; daughter, Frances Lieser of Gill; sisters Edith Merha of California, Bernice and husband Bernard of Demuth, Minnesota, Clara Jans of Minnesota; sister-in-law, Marilyn Boomgaarden of South Dakota; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland (Lee) Lieser; son, Jerry Lieser; brothers, Irvin, Ed, and Jake Boomgaarden, and her parents.

Cremation has been conducted. Private family services will be held. Inurnment, Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.
