She was born May 20, 1919 in Greene County to Thomas E. and Minnie Ellie (McDaniel) Neill. She worked at RCA, retired from GE and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Separate Baptist Church, Clay Township Homemakers Club and a 4-H leader.
Survivors include her children, Fred and Shirley Malicoat of Mitchell, Roger and Sherry Malicoat of Hutsonville, Ill., and Janet and Glenda Malicoat both of Spencer; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Malicoat; sons James R. and Robert Malicoat; grandson Jamie Malicoat; brothers Marvin, Melvin, and Billy Neill; and sisters Mary Deem and Maude Stahl.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Thursday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Unger officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
