Jewel Leola (Akins) Williams, daughter of Lee and Kate (Crozier) Akins, was born on October 4, 1926 in Piney, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.

She worked hard supporting her family. She worked at Allen Canning Company and as a receptionist at Stilwell Memorial Hospital. Jewel was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her family and spending time with them whenever possible. A gifted writer, she encouraged many with cards, letters, and poems she wrote from a generous and loving heart. Jewel touched many lives during her time with us and will be deeply missed.

She was baptized into Christ on Easter Sunday, 1975.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents: Lee and Kate Akins, husband: Grady Williams, Sr., sisters: Opal Little, Ruby Akins and Robbie Lee (Sammie) Akins.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Ellen Workman and husband Ernie and her son: Grady Williams, Jr., all of Stilwell, grandchildren: Nathan Workman and wife Tasha of Tahlequah, Jessica Workman and Jerry Williams, both of Stilwell, Cody Williams of Westville, great grandchildren: Areah Williams of Stilwell, Brianna Williams of Westville, other relatives and many friends.
