Doris Mae Lahodny Eckenrode, daughter of William and Jennie Hadachek Lahodny, was born on Thanksgiving Day November 24, 1921 on a farm north of Cuba, and died November 12, 2009 in Eugene OR. She was 88.
When she was a small child she moved with her parents to Belleville. She graduated from Belleville High School. Shortly after graduation she and her parents and brother Dale moved to Tacoma WA.
She married Donald Eckenrode and they moved to Eugene OR, where he was a school teacher and she was a cashier for the AL Duckwall store for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dale.
She is survived by her daughter; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters.
She was cremated. Arrangements were by Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany OR.
