Tyra attended the Cuba School. She married Charles Herink on October 29, 1934 in Beloit.
Tyra was a homemaker all of her life and was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church.
Tyra is survived by a son, Jim Herink and wife Janice of Manhattan; a daughter, Diedra Blackwell of Hays; 4 grandchildren, Cheryl Williamsen and husband Paul of Rossmoor, California, Sheila Wildeman and husband Terry of Lawrence, Heather Blackwell of Sacramento, California, Scott Herink and wife Chris of Topeka; 6 great grandchildren, Michael Williamsen, Morgan, Ashley, and Garrett Wildeman, Katherina and Anna Marie Herink; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; 2 sisters, Alice and Doris; and 1 brother, Dale.
