Clannis Esponge
A funeral took place at noon today at Lafourche Lodge No. 427 F&AM in Galliano for Clannis Esponge, 69, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, who died at 8 p.m. April 24, 1997.
He was the husband of Gloria Esponge; father of Harold, Phil and Nickie Esponge, Verley Duet Laura Brooks and Vickie Alario; brother of Linwood, Ramise, George, Earnest, Clifton and Robertson Esponge, Andrea Toups, Lolita Gisclair and Gladys Tauzin. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Selema Guidry Esponge; a brother, Gustave Esponge Jr.; a sister, Lena Esponge; and a grandchild, Joby Esponge.
Samart Funeral Home of Cut Off was in charge of arrangements.
