Cayce - Nan Y. Gissendanner, 77, died Saturday in a West Columbia hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Cayce United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, will be in Southland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gissendanner was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of James Yon and Annie Lou Redmond Yon. She was a member of the United Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, J. W. "Jack" Gissendanner; a daughter, Deborah J. Gissendanner Jr. of West Columbia; three sisters, Edrie Connelly of North, Henrietta Kennerly of Mount Pleasant and Pam Thomas of Gilbert; and several grandchildren. © The Post and Courier, Charleston, SC, 12 Feb 1995
