William Wilson was born Abt. 1745 (in Scotland NO PROOF), and died Bet. 1810 - 1820 in NC. He married Dianna Green. She was born Abt. 1750 and died Aft. 1820 as she appears on the 1820 census in Rutherford Co., NC.

William and Dianna Wilson were among the first members of Sandy Run Baptist Church, near present Moorsboro, Cleveland Co., NC.

The Will of William Wilson was written December 7, 1806 and was filed for probate before the Rutherford CO., NC Court at the July term, 1807.

"The Will Of William Wilson"
In the name of God, Amen. I William Wilson of the State of North Carolina, County of Rutherfordton, being of perfect health, mine and memory, (Blessed be the Almighty God) (for the same) to make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, first I give and bequeath unto my oldest son Spencer Wilson, the sum of five shillings sterling, to be paid unto him by my executor or other heirs of mine and the cause is many good reasons this his portion is so small from me. Also I give my well beloved wife, Dianna Wilson, one hundred seventy (170) acres of land with the plantation and dwelling house on it, forever. Also I give and bequeath unto my son, Moses Wilson Twenty Dollars to be paid unto him by my Executors or heirs of mine. Also I give my Daughter Phiby Wilson five shillings sterling also I give to my son James Wilson five shillings sterling to be paid unto them by my Executors or other heirs of mine. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Robert Wilson fifty (50) acres of land I bought of William Green and a saddle, to a paid unto him by my executor or other heirs, and the balance to be sold and equally divided among my children named Molly Wilson, John Wilson, Sally Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Moses Wilson, William Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Jane Wilson, Robert Wilson. Hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 7th day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and six. I appoint my son Thomas as sole executor of my last will and testament signed, sealed and published and delivered by the above named William Wilson to be his last will and testament in presence of us who have subscribed our names as witness in the presence of the testator.

William and Nancy Dianna Wilson are believed to be buried in an old family cemetery on his farm and this old cemetery has since been destroyed(NO PROOF). Nancy Dianna Wilson survived her husband by several years and later deeded her land to a son, James Wilson, in return for his taking care of her in her aging years.(NO PROOF, She gave land to son Thomas, see deed below.) This Indenture made 8th October 1774 between Thomas Williams of the Provence of Georgia and Wm Wilson of Sandy Run in Tryon County in North Carolina for twenty pounds sold Wm. Wilson a certain parcel of land situated on both sides of the South Fork of Sandy Run containing one hundred and fifty acres together with all buildings, orchards.
