In the name of God, Amen. I William Wilson of the State of North Carolina, County of Rutherfordton, being of perfect health, mine and memory, (Blessed be the Almighty God) (for the same) to make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, first I give and bequeath unto my oldest son Spencer Wilson, the sum of five shillings sterling, to be paid unto him by my executor or other heirs of mine and the cause is many good reasons this his portion is so small from me. Also I give my well beloved wife, Dianna Wilson, one hundred seventy (170) acres of land with the plantation and dwelling house on it, forever.
