Susan (Egner) Floyd, age 61 of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2016. She was a member of Reidland Church of Christ.
Mrs. Floyd was owner and operator of Egner's Tax Service. She was an Enrolled Agent and received several awards for her outstanding dedication to her career. Among those: The 2012, 2013, and 2014 Paducah Sun, Reader's Choice Award for "Best of Everything" to Egner's Tax Service and the IRS 2000 Exemplary ERO Award . She held the title of Fellow by the National Tax Practice Institute, was a life time member of the Who's Who, a Kentucky Colonel, and 2004-2006 Kentucky Chapter President of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). She continued to serve on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky chapter of the NATP until her passing.
Surviving are her mother, Joan Egner Bradford, step father Norman Bradford both of Calvert City, Ky. Husband, Kevin Floyd of Calvert City, KY, son, Andy Floyd and daughter-in-law, Samantha Floyd, and granddaughter, Genevieve Naomi Floyd of Bardstown, KY. Daughter, Ashley Comiskey and grandson Xander Bronn Comiskey of Calvert City, Ky. Nephew Donnie Egner and great nephew Don Egner III of Benton, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Egner and brother, Don Egner.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Terrell Lee and Dr. Gene Gilliland officiating.
Interment will follow in Fooks Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
