Mr. Veal was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Luther Veal and the late Mattie Hood Veal. He was a retired shift supervisor for American Industrial Clay Company and also a member of the AICC retiree club. Mr. Veal was an active member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served as chairman of deacons. He enjoyed being a part of the morning and afternoon coffee clubs. Mr. Veal is predeceased by his wife Palma Frazier Veal.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home.
The family suggest donations be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Mark Allen, 2947 Pleasant Grove Road, Sandersville, GA. 31082.
