Dorothy Blanche Veal Garrett age 94 passed away Monday, February 22, 2016. Burial will be in Sparta City Cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett was a native of Washington County but had made her home Hancock County. She worked with Allen’s Invalid Home and Central State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Luthur A. and Mattie Hood Veal and her husband Douglas Garrett. She attended Smyrna Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara G. Doyle of Apple Valley, CA, grandchildren, Cynthia Hill (Steve) of Sparta, John Douglas Marchman (Carly) of Sparta, Larissa May Tucker of Apple Valley, CA, a brother Edwin Veal of Sandersville, a sister Edwena Frazier of Sparta, 4 great grandchildren, Marina, Alek, Hanna and Laura.
